Clarissa is a U.S. cultural historian working at the intersections of digital humanities, museum studies, and public history. Her research focuses on the affective, rhetorical, and other roles that artifacts play in constructing national and social imaginaries within the context of museum work. She is author of A Cultural Arsenal for Democracy: The World War II Work of U.S. Museums.
