Clare works at the intersection of literary studies and religious studies, with a particular emphasis on the life-and-death controversies of the Reformation. She is currently engaged in an international editing project funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities that will make the polemical writings of William Tyndale available to the public in open-access digital format.
